The purpose of this web site is to restore the lost and forgotten historical gospel of Jesus Christ as it is found in the bible and was taught by the apostles. A book is offered that calls into question many of today’s religious practices and beliefs.

The apostle Paul wrote: If our gospel be hid it is hid
To them that are lost; in whom the God of this world
Has blinded the minds of them which believe not,
Lest the light of glorious gospel of Christ, who is the
Image of God should shine unto them.
2nd Corinthians 4:3-4

Judgment is coming

Will you escape the wrath of God?

The church cannot save you
Your religion cannot save you
What you have become does not save you
What you do does not save you

The bible makes it very clear that salvation is by faith
In Jesus Christ and his gospel apart from good works,
keeping the law, religion, traditions, or rituals.
Ephesians 2:8-10.

The Historical Gospel of Jesus Christ

Two thousand years ago, when the fullness of the time had come, God the Son, your saviour Jesus, left heaven because all of its stupendous glory was not a place to be desired while you were lost. He whom angels loved and worshiped stepped down from his exalted throne and position, and condescended to come to this dark planet earth. And at heavens appointed hour he was born in a lowly stable for you. He grew up, lived and suffered shame and humiliation as the rejected One in order that you might be the accepted one. For your sake He became poor that through his poverty you might be rich. He was treated the way you deserve that you might be treated the way He deserves He wore the crown of thorns that you might wear the crown of life. The vinegar and gall were His that the honey and sweet might be yours. He paid the price that you might enjoy the inheritance. And by his crucifixion and death He has taken your sins and put them in a tomb burying the old life of failure forever. He's destroyed death, defeated the devil in your behalf, shut the gates of hell, and opened paradise. We're saved by His work and not our own. He rose again the third day, and by the power of His resurrection and ascension. He's taken that perfect, flawless Life and Righteousness to the throne of God. The father has received Him back -honored, embraced and accepted Him as our Representative, as our substitute in the place of our failure. When the Father received, honored, embraced and accepted Jesus back, it was the same as if you were received honored, embraced and accepted, because your humanity was constituted in Him. Faith says, 'Mine are Christ's living, doing, and speaking, His suffering and dying; mine as much as if I had lived , done, spoken, and suffered and died as He did; All things necessary for your salvation have been done through the doing and dying of Jesus. The warfare has been fought, the victory has been accomplished. God the Son has reconciled you to the father. By his death on the cross you are pardoned. By his resurrection and life you are promoted. It is by Christ alone. The son saves you by his life and death.

Even now God the Holy Spirit is present to give you faith through the hearing of the gospel. It is his work to convict us of sin, righteousness and judgment. It is his work to create faith in our hearts as the gospel is heard. He to loves you and will comfort you. He will illuminate your mind, show you the cross, draw you to Christ, and give you the blessed hope and joy of acceptance in loving fellowship with the Father and with the son. He causes us to see to see the goodness of the father in giving His Son which leads us to repentance and gives us rich faith in His unspeakable love and mercy.

The Christians Life, Death, and Resurrection

By Robert Pate

When a person accepts Christ as their saviour they are placed or baptized into Christ by God. Romans 6:3. The life of Christ is now their life. This is the life that fulfilled all of the demands of Godís holy law in their name and on their behalf. When Christ was crucified they were crucified with him because their humanity is in him. Romans 6:6. When Christ died they died with him, they were baptized into his death. Romans 6:3-4. When Christ was buried they were buried with him. Romans 6:4. When Christ was resurrected from the dead they were resurrected with him. Colossians 3:1. When Christ ascended into heaven, they ascended with him. They are now at the right hand of God in heaven in Christ. Ephesians 2:6. In the life of Christ the law has been fulfilled. In his death, sin has been abolished and Satan has been defeated. The resurrection is a sign that all that Christ has done in his life and death is acceptable and pleasing to the God head. Through the work of Christ they have been made perfect in his sight. Colossians 1:22 They have been made complete in him. Colossians 2:10 When Christ appears in the second coming they will appear with him. Colossians 3:4 This is the gospel. Christ is our substitute and the new Adam who is the representative of the human race. Romans 5:19. We are justified by Christ work and not our own works. Righteousness is provided for us by the life of Christ. Salvation has been earned for us. Without his life we are lost.

Systematic Theology

Systematic theology does not teach the life of Christ for the believer. This leaves a void in the believers life and doctrine. This will cause him to try and fill this void with his own life and piety thus encouraging him to become religious and legalistic, which will place him under the law. Godís law brings condemnation and judgement upon him because he is a sinner who is more preoccupied with his own life and righteousness than he is with the life and righteousness of Christ. Many who are preoccupied with their Christian lives will attest that they do not feel saved unless there is some sort of mystical presence of the Lord in their lives. This is the results of a subjective systematic religion. Pentecostalism and other holiness movements are the result of systematic theology. The work of the Holy Spirit is to magnify the work and person of Jesus Christ. Spirit filled Christians are gospel centered Christians. Mature gospel centered Christians realize that they have nothing to offer the Lord and they are totally dependent upon him for righteousness, salvation and the forgiveness of sins. Systematic theology puts the believer under the law and causes him to become religious simply because there is no where else for him to go. Without the life of Christ the only thing left is religion. Religion is basically mans preoccupation with his own righteousness and spirituality. Systematic theology teaches that God punished Christ on our behalf. This is known as the doctrine of "payment and satisfaction." The problem with this doctrine is that it appears that God cannot forgive sin unless he has his pound of flesh, which is contrary to Godís nature.

Systematic theology also encourages believers to become mystical in there fundamental beliefs. Some may even confess that the Lord speaks to them in an audible voice, or controls their life. Systematic theology opens the door to a life of subjectivism and inward groveling, striving for a life of holiness that is never attainable. The gospel that was taught by the apostles is objective. That is, it took place outside of us and we had nothing to do with it. We simply believe it and trust in it. The Christian life is a life of faith in Christ and his gospel. Nowhere in the bible is the Christian encouraged to look for any kind of signs, miracles, visions, revelations, voices, or to seek after any kind of mystical inward feelings that are supposedly produced by the Holy Spirit.

Who or What is Anti-Christ?

The apostle John wrote, "In the last days as you have heard, there will be Anti-Christ, even as there are now many Anti-Christs''. 1st John 2:18. This scripture tells us that Anti-Christ has been present throughout the church age. The purpose and work of Anti-christ is to discredit Jesus Christ and his work of redemption. To be Anti-christ, you also have to be Anti-Gospel. Many professing Christians reject the historical Gospel of Jesus Christ when it is presented to them simply because they prefer to be religious. The fact that Christ has dealt with the sin problem by his righteous life, his death on the cross, and his acceptance into heaven through the resurrection, and who is now at the right hand of God as our substitute and representative is offensive to some who prefer to do it their way. I believe it's because they want to deal with their own sins and establish their own righteousness so they can be proud of their religious accomplishments. Those who think this way are Anti-Gospel.

The focus or emphasis is...

  1. Their victory over sin, instead of Christ's victory over sin
  2. Their righteousness, instead of Christ's righteousness.
  3. Their faithfulness to God, instead of Christ's faithfulness to God.
  4. Their commitment to God, instead of Christ's commitment to God.
  5. Their Christian life, instead of the life of Christ.
  6. Their crucifixion of the flesh, instead of Christ's crucifixion.
  7. Their new life experience, instead of Christ's resurrection.

Jesus said, "Not everyone that says, Lord. Lord, shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Many will say to me, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name and in your name cast out demons, and in your name done many wonderful works?" Jesus said, "Depart from me, I never knew you." Matthew 7:21-23.

This is very sobering scripture and should cause one to examine themselves as to whether or not they are trying to work their way into Heaven. Salvation is by God's goodness through faith alone In the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-10.

Has Catholicism and Judaism influenced the Doctrines of Christianity?

The answer is an obvious yes. Many of the doctrines of these two religions can be found in the teaching and doctrines of today's Christianity. The results are heresy and confusion. To introduce the doctrines of Catholicism and Judaism into Christianity is to compromise the Bible and to make the historical Gospel message of Jesus Christ as it was taught by the apostles, of no effect.

It is no wonder that many Christians are confused concerning their salvation and where they stand with Jesus Christ. Many times what is heard from the pulpit or in Christian music is not really according to the scriptures and is contrary to the Gospel.

The struggle to keep false doctrine and heresy out of Christianity is nothing new . The apostle Paul was in a continuous conflict with Jewish Christians who had accepted Christ as their saviour but insisted on mixing their doctrine of grace with law.

Catholicism and Judaism are both work's religions. In other words you must practice religion which is a total denial of the Gospel. Christianity is really not a religion because it is not based on our religious works, but is based on what Christ has accomplished on our behalf and in our name. Christianity, unlike religion, is by faith alone. It is apart from law keeping, religious works, traditions, or rituals.
