Has the historical gospel message of Jesus Christ been lost or subverted?

What is the gospel? The historical gospel of Jesus Christ is not taught or preached in the organized church. Every Christian should know what Christ has accomplished in their name and on their behalf. To not know this will lead to doubt and confusion, and will cause one to be weak in their faith. The apostles had strong faith because they understood what God had accomplished on their behalf. You too can have the faith of the apostles.
Read chapter 3 in The Apostle's Doctrine.

Listed below are some of the things the gospel is not:

  1. Asking Jesus to come into your Heart
  2. Saying the sinners prayer
  3. Asking the Lord to forgive you
  4. Asking people to make a decision for Christ
  5. Telling people that they need a saviour
  6. Asking people to make a commitment for Christ
  7. Becoming a church member and being baptized
  8. Being confirmed
  9. Confessing your sins
  10. Taking the Sacraments
  11. Telling people that Christ died for their sins

All of the above has nothing to do with the gospel, number 11 is usually subverted.
